FRAME CARE Q'S
How do I properly care for my new Machine?
Your frame interfaces have been precision machined in our shop, including – reaming and facing the head tube, chasing and facing the bottom bracket, and chasing all other threads. Before installing any parts, we recommend protecting the inside of the tubes. If you have purchased your frame from us we have already done so.
We have treated each frameset with Boeshield T9™ to help protect against frame rust. We recommend that you treat your frame annually. There are additional steps you can take to insure that your frame is not affected by rust.
Appling Rust Inhibitor To The Insides Of The Tubes
Using rust inhibitors like Boesheild, engine fogging oil or boiled linseed oil lubricant can significantly increase the life of your frame. Simply spray or drip the liquid into a frame orifice and rotate the frame to allow the liquid to coat all surfaces of each tube. These liquids will dry inside of the tubes creating a protective layer that will prevent rust from starting. We recommend doing one tube at a time; otherwise it will become a big, sticky mess. Keep disposable towels on hand and do this over a piece of cardboard or drop cloth on the ground. Coat all tubes, including the head tube. Wipe off excess liquid.Let it air dry for 24 hours and then clean up any extra from the outside of the frame. Your frame is now fully prepared.
Why are custom bikes so hard to get?
They aren't. Just pick up the phone and call this number: 520.403.9980 or email us at email@example.com. We'll get you one (or more)
How do I know what size bike I ride?
I see you have standard models. Can I get a standard model and customize just the paint to save myself some money?
Yes. Absolutely. We are in the business of custom bikes. Anything we can do to get you on a bike that you want whether its a standard model with different cable guides brazed on or the complete trim to fit, chromed out, murdered out, head to toe, BB one thousand, 24kt gold headbadge pimp ride,.... we'll make it happen for you.
What is the difference between stainless and the other stuff (Chromoly, Chromo, 4130)?
From the metallurgic standpoint Stainless has a higher content of Chromium. Which aside from a whole lot of other things makes it "harder". Obviously stainless is better at preventing oxidation/ rusting (that doesn't mean it won't). We would argue that you could design two bikes, one from chromoly and one from stainless to give you a very similar ride characteristic because a bike can be designed around either material to give the ride you want. Stainless has it's advantages and is often times worth the extra dough.
Do you offer any type of re-painting / refinishing on my Machine?

- Chase and clean threads & prep for re-finish
- Fully clean, refinish, and buff your frame
